Wall Fitting Guide - Please read prior to fitting your stickers
Cleaning & Preparation.
Prepare the wall by wiping clean with a damn wet, lint free cloth. The wall must be as smooth as possible to give the best desired finish to the sticker.
This 'should' remove sufficient dirt, grease or dust from the surface to help the sticker properly bond on application. If you do not follow this step properly, the sticker will more than likely come away from the surface on the removal of the clear application tape.
DO NOT use washing up liquid to clean the surface. This will leave the surface too greasy to enable your sticker to properly bond on application
*DO NOT apply the sticker to a freshly painted wall, allow at least a few weeks for the paint to properly go off and adhere to the wall.
PLEASE NOTE: Not all wall surfaces are suitable for vinyl graphic application, external factors that could affect the sticker bonding include the type of paint used, the smoothness of the wall surface and if the wall has been freshly painted in the last 6 months.
If the sticker fails to bond properly to the surface, this will be for the reasons stated above and not a fault of the vinyl sticker itself.
Fitting & Positioning.
Please ensure the surface is now dry and free from any dust. Turn the sticker face down with the backing paper visible, 'slowly' peel back the white / blue backing paper, leaving the sticker attached to the clear application tape below.
This will leave the sticker mounted to the ‘clear’ application tape, position the sticker on the surface it’s going to be mounted to, be very careful here to align the sticker properly as you’ll only have one chance to position it on the surface.
Removal of the Clear Application Tape.
Once positioned smooth over the sticker still attached to the clear application tape with a squeegee, if you don’t have a squeegee, a debit / credit card will be fine.
Apply a 'lot of pressure' over the clear application tape, ensuring you cover the entire area including all the finer edges of the sticker design. You will need to ensure the sticker is properly bonded to the wall before the clear application tape is removed.
‘Carefully’ begin to remove the clear application tape. 'Slowly' pull back on the application tape from top right to bottom left to remove it.
If any of the sticker comes away while still attached to the application tape, push back down and smooth over again to ensure the sticker is properly bonded before carrying on with removing the application tape.
Finished Product.
This should now leave you with your sticker fixed in place on the surface you have mounted it to. If you should have air bubbles in the sticker, pop with a pin and carefully work out the air, take care here not to damage the sticker.
*If you are fitting your stickers to a surface such car bodywork or glass, please use Methylated Spirits as STEP 1 when preparing the surface.
Methylated spirits should NOT be used to clean Painted Walls. Wipe clean with a damn wet lint free cloth and allow to dry naturally or dry off with another lint free cloth. Ensure the wall is completely free of any dust or grease.
